Key Moments:

  • The UAE Lottery recently launched Colour Prediction, an online game offering up to AED 60,000 (US$16,338) in prizes every minute.
  • Retail ticket sales have begun at three ADNOC petrol stations in Dubai, following an online-only launch in November 2024.
  • The total number of UAE Lottery winners has reached 247,119, including three who secured AED 1 million prizes.

Introduction of Colour Prediction

The UAE Lottery has unveiled an innovative online experience, Colour Prediction, designed to engage players with instant win opportunities. This dynamic offering allows users a chance to win up to AED 60,000 (US$16,338) every minute, fitting seamlessly into daily routines and providing entertainment at any moment.

Game Mechanics and Prizes

With draws running every 60 seconds, Colour Prediction enables up to 60 participation opportunities per hour. Entry fees start as low as AED 1 ($0.2723), making the game accessible to a wide range of participants. A correct prediction delivers a payout of up to six times the wagered amount, with a maximum prize per transaction capped at AED 60,000 as stated by The Game LLC, operator of the UAE Lottery.

Players can wager on a number between 0 and 9, select a color (Red, Green, or Violet), or combine both in their prediction. Success results in immediate rewards.

According to Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game LLC: “Color Prediction is designed for the moments in between — whether you’re waiting in line or unwinding after work, you can jump in anytime and win in just 60 seconds. It’s simple to play, incredibly fast, and adds a thrill to your everyday.”

The launch of Colour Prediction brings the portfolio of UAE Lottery games to 18, spanning classic draws and instant-win titles. All offerings are monitored and approved by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) to ensure responsible and secure gaming.

Expanding the Retail Footprint

Initially accessible exclusively online following its November 2024 debut, the UAE Lottery has now expanded into retail by selling tickets at three ADNOC petrol stations in Dubai. The locations include ADNOC 462 in Jebel Ali, ADNOC 529 in Al Quoz, and ADNOC 535 in Business Bay.

Bishop Woosley reported: “We’ve celebrated three AED 1 million winners, 168 winners of AED 100,000 with Lucky Day, Lucky Chance, and Scratch Cards, and over 247,119 winners in total,” in comments to Khaleej Times.

Woosley further explained that placing lottery tickets in busy petrol stations aims to provide greater accessibility. He said: “Stopping by a petrol station is already part of people’s daily routines, whether on the way to work or just moving around the city. By introducing the UAE Lottery at three key ADNOC stations in Dubai, we will have a presence at high-traffic locations, offering players a simple and seamless way to engage with the lottery.”

He elaborated on the choice of locations: “Business Bay was a natural choice given its proximity to Downtown Dubai and DIFC, where there is a large concentration of offices and corporate jobs. Al Quoz allows us to serve players working in and around the busy industrial zones, while Jebel Ali offers a strategic position at the crossroads between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, making it a convenient stop for commuters. Together, these three locations provide a strong and diverse foundation to continue growing presence and gain valuable insights.”

Launch of New Games and Future Developments

Earlier in the previous month, the UAE Lottery introduced four new scratch card games, providing chances to win up to AED 1 million, with ticket prices set between AED 5 and AED 50. The gaming catalog continues to expand with additional instant-win titles like Marble Run and Lucky Lagoon, thanks to collaborative efforts with Random State and EQL Games.

The lottery operator is also preparing a mobile application to further enhance accessibility, though a release date has not been disclosed. “I don’t want to reveal too much, but there will be more games available in both the app as well as through the website and in retail when we launch it. We will also continuously update our online scratcher games and have fresh content for the players,” Woosley stated.

Responsible Gaming and Security

Strict responsible gaming measures remain at the core of the UAE Lottery’s operation. Participation is restricted to players at least 18 years old, with verification procedures in place at retail locations to prevent underage engagement. Woosley emphasized: “Our long-term vision is to set regional responsible gaming benchmarks by continuously enhancing tools and support systems, while prioritising player welfare and education in a way that aligns with the UAE’s cultural values.”

The GCGRA oversees all licensing, compliance, and regular auditing. Woosley highlighted the comprehensive processes: “Our platform, procedures, processes, and our games are tested by international laboratories to ensure that the price structure is what we say it is and that our platform is secure. Our ball machine is tested, and the balls in the machine are weighed. There is a very rigorous process that ensures safety.”

Broader Vision and Looking Ahead

In June, the UAE Lottery strengthened its position in the global industry by joining the World Lottery Association (WLA), providing access to international standards on responsible gaming, security, and service innovation.

Amid this expansion, the UAE Lottery continues to make its offerings more widely available through digital and in-person channels, with ongoing efforts to introduce new games and a mobile platform, all anchored in a secure and responsible gaming environment.
